Scope Of Work
The scope of this project was to install 12 TVs and video distribution system throughout a bar / restaurant / lobby area of a Marriott Hotel. Features were to include:
- Wall mount installation of up to 12 HDTVs
- Video distribution of 6 cable TV boxes to all of the TVs
- Run necessary cabling to the TV locations
- Maintain full 1080p capability to all TVs
- Install control system to control cable boxes located behind the bar area
- Send audio from cable boxes to the house sound system
We were contacted by Miano Construction of New York to install TVs throughout the lobby and bar / restaurant areas during a complete renovation. We installed shielded Cat 6 cabling to all of the TV areas. Each TV run included an HDBaseT transmitter and receiver which allows for cable runs up to 300 feet at full 1080p and 4K resolution. For control we used a Universal Remote system with LCD remote and RF receiver. The remote works up to 100 feet away and controls the cable boxes located in a cabinet.
When finished, the system worked as planned and has been in continuous use since 2016
