One of Marathon's former signature resorts is undergoing a revitalization, Faro Blanco Resort & Marina owners the Spottswood Company have been working with Marathon planning staff to update the development agreement in the works since at least 2007." The redevelopment will also include 100 slips in a marina at the resort on the bay side, and a 100 slip marina across U.S. 1 on the ocean side of the island The marina on the ocean side will be more commercial in nature with a dock masters office, fuel and convenience store.

The marina fuel system design included one (1) 20,000 gallon Modern Welding Double Wall  Fireguard above ground fuel tank with split compartments for diesel and gasoline. Simplex Fuel Ports will allow compliant filling of the tanks. 2-hp Fe Petro submersible pumps and  + 364’ of 2” DW AEP UV marina piping will allow the client the requested specific flow rates that they requested. Dispensing of fuel will be located adjacent to the historic landmark  lighthouse. Two Pump Measure Control Commander model marina dispensers each with two Hannay sprind rewind hose reels will provide abundant fueling on the Technomarine docks. The client will obtain 35gpm at two diesel nozzles and 15gpm at two gasoline nozzles. A PIE authorization console will be located within the dockmasters office at the Lighthouse. All of the fueling facility will be monitored by an Omntec Proteus state of the art compliance monitoring system.
