Scope Of Work
Choate served as the prime subcontractor in a teaming agreement for this second project at McEntire Air National Guard Station (ANGS), the Eastover Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) Hangar Addition/Alteration. The project consists of a 75,000-SF addition of a 13-bay rotor wing aircraft hangar and associated shops/administrative areas to the existing Army Aviation facility.
In order to easily allow for the entrance and exit of aircrafts at the facility, the building is equipped with two 25-foot steel sliding hangar doors capable of withstanding an external wind load of 80mph. Multiple overhead coiling doors are also included for shop purposes.
