Scope Of Work

The project required complete rehabilitation of the asphalt parking lot along with sectional replacement of the concrete sidewalks and delivery areas.  The project required asphalt milling, asphalt paving, concrete replacement, 12" thick concrete collars for catch basins, complete replacement of all onsite traffic signs to meet new 2012 MUTCD requirements, new ADA traffic signs installed in concrete bollards, new Pro Parking Signs in bollards, new Home Depot Truck Rental Parking sings in bollards, base remediation, new line striping layout, plastic bollard cover replacement and concrete curbing.  All work was completed in under 30 days with multiple phases as not to interfere with store operations including changing schedules "on the fly."  The entire front drive lane, rear loading area and Pro Parking Lot was milled and paved overnight as to not interfere with business.  During one evening of paving a pedestrian fatality took place on the County Road in the front of the property which we had to immediately change traffic control as all of the traffic was now being detoured through the middle of the paving operation.  Home Depot's engineering firm specified a NJDOT 9.5 MM Super Pave Mix which has to be transported, installed by the paver and compacted in a specific time frame to meet compaction density specifications.  During the detour we had to communicate with the asphalt plant, the Police Department / First Responders and our independent truckers to maintain an uninterrupted delivery schedule while the accident reconstruction team conducted their investigation in the road.
