Scope Of Work
Ajax was contracted for this extensive sitework package with over 200,000 cubic yards of soil to move on a new 40-acre site. There was also a large earth berm and temporary holding pond constructed. The developer added the berm and holding area to protect the wetlands located downhill from the site.
Governors Marketplace is a 265,000 square foot power center anchored by Bed Bath & Beyond, Sports Authority, Marshall’s, Michael’s, Old Navy, and Petco. It is located adjacent to the super-regional Governors Square Mall in Tallahassee. The center also boasts strong national and regional tenants including Atlanta Bread Company, Boston Market’s Rotisserie Grill, David’s Bridal and Lifeway Christian Bookstore. Governors Marketplace was developed in partnership with Kimco Developers, Inc. and was sold in 2004 to Inland Real Estate.
