Scope Of Work
JRM completed an interior fit out led by Joseph Romano for Packer Collegiate that consisted of the gutting of St. Ann’s Church, the neighboring Parish building, and the construction of a new five-story middle school building and an adjoining stair tower building. There were many phases to this project beginning with the gutting and excavating of St. Ann’s Church, pouring new footings, a new slate roof, windows, elevator, fire escapes, and a total brownstone facade restoration. A new five-story, steel framed structure was constructed as Packer’s new middle school building. The adjacent Parish building was also gutted and revived with all new steel framing to house a cafeteria, kitchen, and balcony. In an effort to link the church and parish to the new openings in the existing school building, a five-story cast-in-place concrete brick-face stair tower was erected. Additional project features introduced were music classrooms with glass-framed terraces, a chiller, and all new HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and sprinkler systems.
