Andy Bell's Bio
A self-described refugee from the corporate world, Andy Bell was first a stockbroker and then a leader in the food and beverage industry for ten years before leaving to begin the Handyman business concept in 1998.
He continues to serve the Handyman Industry, leading a team dedicated to improving the image of the home repair and improvement industry, utilizing both innovative technology and principles of conduct & ethics to create a better customer experience for every client.
Andy is a staunch advocate for a healthy work and family life balance for everyone within the Ace Handyman Services franchise system, employees and owners alike.
His own pursuits away from the office include jogging, fly fishing, ceramic pottery, and spending time with his sons.
A drive to redefine home improvement for the better and celebrate the Handyman trade category as a respected, trusted and integral part of everyone's home ownership-your helpful home ally is his passion!
Chris Bue's Bio
Chris is our President. Chris' role is also known as the "integrator" as his main focus is to coordinate the execution of key strategic initiatives across each department. Chris brings nearly 20 years of operational experience to Ace Handyman Franchising with an emphasis on franchising that spans several different industries and concepts. Chris joined the company in 2014 and has been committed to supporting our operations to achieve maximum performance, both in revenues and profits.
With the understanding that the culture of the company starts with the leadership, Chris has been instrumental in building a collaborative TEAM at the Support Center. Working side by side with Chad (CMO), together they have led the TEAM to create scalable and sustainable Operations and Marketing programs & processes to push the company well into the future.
During his personal time, Chris enjoys snowboarding, camping, hiking, coaching sports and an occasional family vacation.
Chuck S.'s Bio
Charles (Chuck) Shive opened Ace Handyman Services in May 2021 with the goal of providing the very best service and craftsmanship to residential and commercial customers in southwest Ohio. Chuck is originally from Gonzales, Louisiana and graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with B.S. in Business Administration. Prior to starting Ace Handyman Services, Chuck had a 20 year career in the beverage industry and was most recently the CEO of a regional snack food company in Dayton, OH. When looking for his next opportunity, Chuck felt that an Ace Handyman Services business would be a challenging way to utilize his prior career skill sets while providing a great service to the local communities. Outside of work, Chuck enjoys spending time with his wife and children, reading, traveling, finding great new restaurants, and the occasional poker game.
Laura Hammer's Bio
Prior to starting Handyman Matters, Laura had many careers including teaching and coaching. She attended Purdue University and earned a B.A. in History and English and a M.A. in History. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, biking, running, and being active.
Paul Hammer's Bio
Paul and his wife, Laura, opened Handyman Matters in April 2014 with the goals of providing the very best and craftsmanship to residential and commercial customers in central Ohio. Together they have worked hard to grow their while maintaining their company core values. Paul grew up in Indiana and attended Purdue University where he graduated with a B.S. in horticulture and . Prior to starting Handyman Matters, Paul was a regional sales manager and researcher for the largest flower breeding company in the world. Having always enjoyed home improvement, Paul felt that a Handyman Matters would be challenging way to utilize his prior career skillsets while providing a great to the local communities. Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, hiking, biking, and being the family's handyman.
Operations
Aaron Williams's Bio
Aaron is the Vice President of Operations and Technology. He is responsible for bringing together the operational side of the business with the integrated technology that differentiates us from our competition. Aaron brings a strong technical background to the organization, with over 20 years of engineering and software experience. He is a graduate of Columbia University and has degrees in Mathematics, Physics and Engineering.
As the son of a carpenter, his passion for home improvement began at an early age. Aaron grew up working for his family's business, where he learned everything that is great about building things, and also developed a deep understanding of the challenges within this industry.
Aaron is a proud father of two daughters. Outside of work he is either running, coaching his kids in sports, or playing in the mountains.
David D.'s Bio
We are excited to bring Ace Handyman Services to the west side of Cleveland. Over the years David has done almost every type of handyman job in his century home in Lakewood. He loves managing a great team of skilled craftspeople who can provide our westside neighbors professional-level home improvement and maintenance services with excellence and integrity.
David has lived most of his life in northeast Ohio. He grew up and went to high school in Avon Lake and learned to play golf at Sweetbriar and Bob-O-Link in Avon. He remembers eating at the May Company restaurant as a kid and playing beach volleyball for a rec team in North Olmsted. He has fond teenage memories of summer nights at Huntington Beach in Bay Village and waiting tables at CYC in Rocky River. More recently, his kids went to preschool in Fairview Park and played travel soccer in Westlake, where our office is located.
James F's Bio
James has been with Handyman Matters 2017 and is our Project Manager. He comes to Handyman Matters with several years' experience in the trades and management experience. He really enjoys trouble shooting and problem solving, and loves doing home improvement projects even in his free time. He was raised in erville and very much likes spending time with his two dogs, fishing, and boating.

I have lived in Lebanon, OH my entire life. I have 3 daughters and 2 granddaughters. I am form a large family and enjoy the outdoors.
Mark Douglass's Bio
Mark is one of the original co-founders of Ace Handyman Services who started with Andy in 1998. He started the proof of concept office in Boulder CO, growing that alongside Andy's Denver market, while helping to create the franchise concept. Today, Mark is President of Corporate Operations and a strategic part of the management team. He has developed an amazing TEAM and oversees the company owned franchise locations in the Denver market.
Mark is passionate about creating a workplace that sprouting tradespeople can learn and excel by bringing the fading old world craftsmanship skillsets back into society. He is and has always been instrumental in the development and management of the Brand and our unique business model and tools that sets Ace Handyman Services apart from competitors.
When not working, Mark enjoys family time and his two boys. Camping, fly-fishing, dirt biking and playing ice hockey.
Sarah S.'s Bio
Sarah comes to ACE Handyman Services with over 15 years of customer service experience under her tool belt. A lifelong resident of Lakewood, she recognizes the need and value for the quality home repair that Ace Handyman Services' skilled Craftspeople can provide to homeowners in our communities. An avid DIY-er herself, her past projects include plaster repair, tiling her kitchen backsplash and painting nearly every room in her house. When you can't find her at a school sporting or music event supporting her two kids, she's often working in her garden, baking in her kitchen, or relaxing with a good book.

Ariana S.'s Bio
Ariane has been with Ace Handyman Services since 2016. She worked at our Northeast location in Westerville and transitioned to run our Northwest office upon its opening in January 2021. She has been a dedicated and dependable employee whose efforts have been vital to the company's success. She takes great pride in the work she does and seeks to connect with every customer she works with. Outside of work, she is a busy mom of three adorable boys.
Don I's Bio
Don has been with Ace Handyman Services Northeast Columbus since 2014 and has been the company's field supervisor since 2016. Devoted to Ace Handyman Services, Don offered to help lead our craftsman team in Pickerington and moved to our Southeast Columbus location when it opened. He is passionate about home repair and improvement, and has been in the trades for over 30 years. Don is an Air Force veteran and outside of work enjoys volunteering for camp and home projects.
Eric W's Bio
Eric joined Ace Handyman Services in 2019. He got his first taste of the trades when he helped build the house his parents still live in today. He then went on to earn degrees in carpentry, blueprint reading, and business management. He has since worked in various construction industries. At Ace Handyman Services, he enjoys the diversity of the job and the variety of skills he gets to use every day. Outside of work he enjoys hiking, playing video games, and working on cars.
Frank L.'s Bio
Frank comes to us with over 15 years of professional experience with paint, drywall, and plaster work, including textured ceilings. He learned a lot of his general home repair knowledge from his dad, as between him and his 12 siblings there was always something to fix in their house when they were growing up. A father himself, Frank likes to spend his down time cheering on his own two kids as well as Cleveland's sports teams.
Keith F.'s Bio
Keith began with Ace Handyman Services in June 2019 and worked until December 2020 when he lost a long and difficult battle with COVID-19. He was a highly skilled tradesman and came to work every day with a servant's heart. He was a gentle and kind soul who always sought to delight customers with his work. Outside of work, he enjoyed spending time with his family and was an active member of his church. He will always be part of our Ace Handyman Services team.

Mark S. joined Ace Handyman Services in November 2020. He came to the craftsman position with a wealth of knowledge, and over thirty years of experience in the trades. He really enjoys all the trades, and enjoys the diversity of the position- something new and different every day. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.

Michelle has been with Ace Handyman Services since its beginning in 2017. As our team coordinator, she takes great pride in the work she does, and seeks to connect with every customer and ensure they are happy. Prior to her employment at Ace Handyman Services, she worked at Germain Toyota for twenty-nine years with the majority of her time working in customer service. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family enjoying the outdoors or just relaxing.
