Scope Of Work
Originally constructed in 1971, The Aqua Apartments is a high-rise, senior (55+) apartment development comprised of one sixteen-story building containing 197 one-, two- and three-bedroom units, located in Tampa,Hillsborough County, Florida.
Project amenities added during rehab included a community center, community garden, computer lab, exercise/yoga room, emergency call system, library and bocce ball court. Unit amenity upgrades included new kitchen cabinetry, countertops, Energy Star appliances, Energy Star lighting, low VOC paint, digital thermostats, lever hardware in all interior units, slider closet doors, floor to ceiling living room window, window treatments, water saver flapper-less toilets, low-flow fixtures, bathroom cabinets, countertops, showers, grab bars, ceiling fans, and balcony railing and screens.
First Housing, through their affordable housing lending pool, provided over 4 million for the acquisition and rehabilitation of the project in 2012. Origination, Underwriting, Construction Administration and finally Permanent Servicing were all completed for this project.
