Scope Of Work

Our expertise at PolySeal Coating Solutions includes the evaluation and repair of concrete flooring to provide a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish for a variety of industrial and commercial applications. In the project highlighted here, the customer contacted us regarding issues they were experiencing with cold joints in their retail facility. Over the course of numerous expansion and contraction cycles, the cold joints had exposed an elongated joint, creating unsanitary conditions in the joint separation. Before any repairs took place, we chased the joints, which consisted of removing all debris and dust using a dust collection system.

Once the joints were clean, a backer rod was placed in the gap and the joints were filled using Novalink SL, a premium quality self-leveling elastomeric sealant designed for horizontal concrete applications. By fully assessing the situation that had caused the gapping in the first place and using premium quality materials, we were able to provide the customer with a long-term solution for this high traffic retail space. This is a long-term customer who we have partnered with on numerous projects from floor repair to polishing and finishing.
