Scope Of Work

Global Link Distribution is a leading supplier of OEM products for the RV, manufactured housing, cargo trailer, fencing, and cabinet shop industries. In order to maintain the demand for their products, Global Link was leasing multiple storage facilities, which involved constant driving, wearing out not only their delivery vehicles, but also their employees. After sustained growth for nearly a decade, Global Link contacted J.A. Wagner to construct their new distribution and storage facility. Global Link values technology as a sound business strategy so that their personnel can achieve high levels of productivity. It was important to the organization to provide a space for their employees that would help them remain happy and productive.

The 60,000-square-foot Butler® pre-engineered metal building includes offices, an employee break room, a high-end conference room, a grand 22-foot lobby, and three enclosed loading docks. All the floors in the common areas were finished with polished concrete. The design-build construction process allowed J.A. Wagner to begin construction even before the final drawings were complete. This saved Global Link time and money, and enabled them to consolidate their operations as quickly as possible. Because the design-build delivery system provides a single-source of responsibility for the project, Global Link didn’t have to manage multiple contracts to move the project forward.

In early 2018, the J.A. Wagner team returned to Global Link to construct a 44,460-square-foot warehouse addition. This expansion also consisted of a Butler® pre-engineered metal building and is connected to the original storage facility our team completed in 2015. This new space features three enclosed and heated loading docks and numerous windows to reflect natural light throughout the building.
