Scope Of Work

In 2015, W.S. Cumby completed construction of the Shipley School’s new Student Commons and Arts Center. The 26,000 SF facility, which is seeking LEED for Schools certification, includes a new performance venue, visual and performing arts classrooms, music studios, rehearsal spaces, student gathering areas and a new dining facility.

Serving as Construction Manager-at-Risk, W.S. Cumby provided professional scheduling, logistics planning and cost management services during the Center’s design and pre-construction phase. In addition, our project team worked in collaboration with the School and MGA Architects through a Value Engineering process that yielded significant cost savings while preserving both the intent of the design and the quality of construction.
