Scope Of Work
W.S. Cumby constructed a new 205,000-square-foot product distribution center for repeat client Dansko. The footwear company selected W.S. Cumby to provide preconstruction phase cost estimating, scheduling and logistical planning services in addition to at-risk construction phase management for the fast-tracked project. Working in conjunction with the design team, W.S. Cumby provided supporting data for the Life Cycle Cost Analysis of a variety of energy saving options. This comparison of designstrategies through energy modeling aided Dansko in their evaluation of system feasibility and the return on any first cost investments. The completed facility is equipped with a fully automated, mobile-robotic material handling system that brings Dansko products from shelves directly to workers, greatly increasing warehouse productivity.
