Scope Of Work
The Hewlett Packard Service Center is located in the Rio Rancho City Centre and houses the company’s New Mexico operations. The facility is a 218,000 square foot, three story steel frame structure with EIFS exterior walls and metal panel accents. The challenges of the site topography required the south end first floor to be constructed at a “garden level” while the north end first floor is eight feet above ground. In addition, the 25 acre site is located in a futre city business district which required access roads to be constructed as city streets complete with infrastructure for the future downtown.
The streets surrounding the building are directly adjacent to the exterior walls with only a city sidewalk between the curb and the building. Hewlett Packard was a design/build construction project incorporating the exacting tenant requirements for Hewlett Packard’s service center, the building envelope requirements of the landlord/owner Titan Development, and the infrastructure requirements of the City of Rio Rancho City Center.
