Scope Of Work
Scott + Reid was selected to perform major renovations for The Centrum, an iconic Oak Lawn office and retail building. The scope of work includes rework of the exterior building façade, renovated interior courtyard, creation of a new grand entry and lobby, floating glass conference room, fitness center and an amenity center with an outdoor rooftop deck. Renovations and upgrades were also made to elevator cabs, three floors of restrooms and corridors, spec suites and vacant tenant spaces to provide exposed ceilings and modern finishes.
Work on the exterior rebrand included heavy demolition of structural steel columns and all granite panels. Reconstruction of the exterior frame expanded a two-story section of the building. New finishes include specialty metal panels, stucco walls and ceilings, stained concrete and specialty lighting.
Creation of the amenity center provided a public meeting place with a large conference room, lounge area with full bar and outdoor rooftop deck covered with a pergola, motorized sun shades, 30-foot-long custom concrete bar top and gas fire pit, all surrounded by a glass and stainless steel guardrail.
