Scope Of Work

Following a small renovation project in the St. Rita Catholic School, Scott + Reid was selected to build a new Parish Commons structure for the St. Rita Catholic Community. The facility was designed to mimic the campus in stature and finish and complement their existing space with a new multipurpose area. The large open area features a continuous custom carpet pattern, but can also be sectioned off with fabric-finished operable partitions for smaller meeting rooms. Acoustical concerns were pacified by installation of fabric panels in the bulkhead areas without detracting from the wood tongue and groove ceiling finish.

Several items arose throughout the project that potentially jeopardized the schedule and budget, including rain delays, replacement of chilled water line/piping discovered at beginning of project, and accommodating various church and school schedule requirements. The project team was able to overcome the variables with constant communication, creative solutions and the ability for quick adjustments.

The project also required adjustment and additions to surrounding canopies, covered walls and landscaping to integrate the commons structure to the campus.
