Scope Of Work
Scott + Reid was selected to build a high-end performing arts center located in Plano, Texas. The 11,500-square-foot space consists of six studios, a showcase studio with raised amphitheatre seating and a spacious front entrance lobby.
The client wanted the interiors to resemble an old industrial warehouse repurposed for a dance studio. To achieve the desired aesthetics, Scott + Reid incorporated brick throughout all studios, hallways, locker rooms and reception area. A high stucco column tied into the brick, which in turn flowed seamlessly into the reception desk and wood paneling, is a prominent feature when first entering the building.
Initially working only from basic designplans with no selected finishes, Scott + Reid took the lead and provided the interior design services for the client. Working cooperatively with the tenant, the team was able to specify and source materials to produce the requested look and feel for the studio. Additionally, the project team coordinated and scheduled all the owner’s specialty contractors to ensure a smooth, successful project completion.
