Scope Of Work
Scott + Reid was selected to perform the interior build-out for Cushman & Wakefield’s new corporate office. Relocating to McKinney & Olive, the newly constructed high-rise in Uptown, marked a significant milestone for the commercialreal estate firm, bringing together three separate cultures from recent corporate mergers under one roof.
Design changes, a rigid schedule and numerous long-lead items were a few of the challenges that occurred during the project. Although the work commenced at a later start than originally anticipated due to late design adjustments, a schedule extension was not possible as the client had already subleased their existing space. Scott + Reid reorganized the schedule to allow for installation of the long-lead items as they arrived, even out of schedule sequence.
The final result features various custompieces, including an interstitial stair composed of steel, wood and glass; glass pivot doors at conference room fronts that can be arranged to create a large open flow space; and steel and wood benches interspersed with planters.
