Scope Of Work
The Las Vegas Premium Outlets project was an expansion to an outdoor shopping center in downtown Las Vegas. This location is one of the busiest for Simon Property Group, and through daily communication and coordination, all existing operations remained open and unimpacted construction.
Phase I of the development included a 320,000 SF, 782-space expansion to a six-story parking garage. There is also a new underground entrance tunnel from the street level which diverts traffic into the basement of the new garage and below ground vehicular traffic. Phase II of the project included:
160,000 SF open-air retail expansion
Renovations for 44 new tenant spaces
New service entrances
120,000 SF of exterior common area walkways
Landscaping and large tensile shade structures
The project also included two new steel pedestrian bridges which spanned over the two main entrance roadways. These bridges connect pedestrians from the parking garages to the retail areas, so they can avoid incoming and outgoing vehicular traffic. The combined bridges and tenant shell spaces contain a total of three passenger elevators, two interior escalators and four exterior escalators.
