Scope Of Work

The Legacy of St. Michael was an ABC award-winning project in 2011. It was designed as a single phase 72 unit senior housing facility with enhanced services. The facility, which was designed by Trident Development, LLC and Tealwood Senior Living, Inc. is a mix of independent, assisted, memory care living units all of which are housed in a single three story building. Lyon Contracting, Inc., the general contractor, managed all aspects of the building, grading, landscaping and exterior finishing. The interior amenities, including a commercial kitchen, wellness spa and dining areas were designed and furnished by the development team.

The Legacy of St. Michael is designed as a three story wood framed structure with hydraulic elevator, pitched roof and asphalt shingles. The exterior is finished with a horizontal steel lap siding decorative, maintenance free style shakes that when coupled with beautiful cultured stone accents, produce an enduring river rock-type appearance.

Each independent and assisted living style unit is very similar to a typical apartment, offering a full kitchen and appliance package, ample cabinet and counter space as well as a full size washer and dryer. For resident security and medication control, two separate locking cabinets are provided in each apartment – one for staff use and one for the residents personal use. Residents also have the option to wear a pendent style alert device, allowing staff to remain in contract with the resident at all times.

In addition to the spacious landscapes and outdoor areas, the facility offers an inviting community and activity room and a welcoming library/media center all of which offer residents ample area to relax and socialize. A luxury salon and coffee shop area are also available for residents, both offering first class services on a daily basis.

The Legacy of St. Michael has two dining rooms to select from for daily meals. Access to the building for guests and residents is provided through a beautiful porch into a well-appointed lobby and library. The entire property is secured at each ingress and egress point and extra exterior lighting which provides added security and additional peace of mind to Legacy residents.
