At the age of 16, Stephen answered his first call of duty by enlisting as a volunteer fireman in Pennsylvania. He knew instantly that fire protection would be his life’s work and decided to pursue his passion in college by earning a degree in Fire Science Technology. With his new knowledge and passion for firefighting, he relocated to Virginia to begin his professional career as a fireman. He retired in 1993 a fully vested firefighter and moved back to his hometown.
Upon his return Stephen found himself with a new interest… technology. His curiosity led to fire protection systems, realizing the only thing better than fighting fires would be preventing them. While working in the fire protection industry Stephen decided to go back to school and learn more about the business of fighting fires eventually earning his Bacheor’s degree in Business Management. Almost serendipitously he found work as an operations manager at a local fire protection sprinkler company.
As a lifelong servant of fire protection, Stephen is continually training both himself and his team of fire protection professionals. He holds numerous certifications and memberships including his current role serving as President of the Philadephia region ASCET chapter.
