Scope Of Work
Douglas T. Jacobson State Veterans Home was an AHCA permitted Florida Department of Veterans Affairs renovation project focused on hardening the facility against hurricanes and allowing uninterrupted care for residents even during severe weather.
As part of the hardening process, the roofing was replaced with supporting structural improvements as needed, all exterior windows, storefronts, and doors and frames were replaced with rated assemblies.
Storm drainage and runoff was improved along with new site lighting and perimeter fencing to enhance site safety and security.
