Scope Of Work

Our client, AkinsParker, asked us to help with a custom fabrication and installation project for a world-class resort in Ojai, California. The agency’s creative director, Justin Clark, designed a visual retail experience that required a combination of wall covering and dimensional acrylic art pieces with custom-made collateral holders. The catch was that they wanted each collateral holder be a certain color that was slightly transparent so the background image would show through.

Using our Zund cutter we were able to cut the shape needed to create each holder to the size specified and then print direct to both the front and back of the acrylic. With delicate acrylic bending and placement of holes for the stand-offs we were able to achieve the look our client wanted.

The large acrylic background pieces were fabricated using ½″ thick acrylic with polished and beveled edges. The prints were then mounted to the acrylic with an optically clear adhesive making each background a work of art.

The finished acrylic background pieces were displayed by a hardware suspension system of wire hangers and the collateral holders were mounted on each piece with stand-offs. Both AkinsParker and their client were delighted with the final result.
