Scope Of Work
Frontier Services, Inc. managed a performance-based FFP contract to design and construct a groundwater extraction and treatment system (GETS) under a Record of Decision (ROD) to address the city’s PCE and TCE plume. The ROD specified that extracted groundwater will be treated on-site and discharged to both the City’s municipal water treatment plant and to surface water (permitted) through the storm sewer system.
The project required the installation of three, 10-inch diameter extraction wells from 65 to 120 feet deep. In addition, well pumps and controls were installed in the two new and one existing extraction wells to be combined with one additional City municipal well to feed the treatment system. Frontier managed full remediation and general construction services for this project including design/construct and startup and operation of the groundwater extraction and treatment system.
