2020 HURRICANE RECOVERY EFFORTS

By: Marketing
September 2020

In recent weeks, two hurricanes have hit the US Gulf Coast — each storm having a significant impact on the cities and regions in their path. We have seen major damages to the infrastructure of these regions, hurting these communities greatly.

In late August, Hurricane Laura made landfall near Cameron, Louisiana, with winds strong enough to destroy electrical transmission and distribution systems in the area — leaving thousands without power, many of which won't get reliable power restored for another month or more.

In mid-September, Hurricane Sally made landfall near Gulf Shores, Alabama, with winds exceeding 100 miles per hour. The slow movement of the storm was expected to drop more than 30 inches of rain in the region within a few days, prompting historic-level flooding and complicating access for damage assessments.

As a premier heavy equipment and specialty attachment supplier along the Gulf Coast, we’ve seen a great deal of hurricanes. Bottom Line Equipment was founded shortly before Hurricane Katrina — so we know how important it is to have ample heavy equipment and specialty attachments geared specifically towards disaster recovery and cleanup. Some of our debris removal equipment are:

Full Range Excavators (Enclosed Cabs)

With Shears, Thumbs and Grapples

3 – 6 YD Wheel Loaders (Enclosed Cabs)

With Grapples, Side Dump Buckets, Root Rakes and Forks

Rubber Track Loaders (Enclosed Cabs)

With Grapple Buckets, Mulchers, Sweepers and Mowers

We knew it would be critical to have all of our available equipment ready to go even before the recovery efforts began. That way, we could help those working to rebuild these communities as soon as possible.

At Bottom Line Equipment, we rent heavy equipment to build better communities by raising the standards for quality and safety for all. Our core value of Making It Happen has been a driving force since our inception — and has shown through these difficult times. We are quickly approaching 200 machines and specialty attachments deployed in the communities impacted by Hurricane Laura and are actively getting equipment and help to the areas affected by Hurricane Sally. We are here to help the region recover from these devastating disasters as quickly as possible.

If you are in need of heavy equipment and specialty attachments for debris removal, please give us a call at (877) 332-7187 or contact us through our website. We are here to help.
