Scope Of Work

The East Gadsden High School is situated on a scenic, but hilly 100-acre site halfway between Midway and Quincy, Florida. The main campus is comprised of nine buildings with a total of 197,023 SF.

All buildings on site are one-story construction and three of the buildings were constructed as hurricane shelters for public use. The campus combines student populations from Quincy Shanks High School and Havana Northside High School into one.

The football stadium complex is one of the finest in the area and the dual-enrollment building enabled students from East Gadsden High School and Tallahassee Community College to study together in one facility.

The remaining site was utilized for parking lots, bus traffic, and tennis and softball fields. The existence of pristine wetlands on the site made the sitework portion of this project challenging and educational.

NATIONAL AND REGIONAL AWARD WINNER
East Gadsden High School was voted Project of the Year at the 2003 Excellence in Construction Awards for the North Florida Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors and won First Place in the National Excellence in Construction Awards for Institutional Project in the $10 – $25 Million category.
