Scope Of Work
This project involved hardening the exterior of the Largo Police Department to withstand hurricane force winds, as well as reroof the building and replace the transformer. Structural steel and light gauge trusses were placed on the existing flat roof to build it up, which created a sloped roof structure that was reroofed with standing seam metal panels. The building’s window wall system was also replaced with a hurricane rated window wall system, while the exterior walls were structurally upgraded by retrofitting rebar and poured cells or by placing a metal panel system over the existing masonry cells.
