State Termite & Pest Solutions was founded in 1933 as a locally-owned business serving the needs of clients in Stark and Summit Counties, including Canton, Akron, Alliance, and Akron. In those early days, State Termite shared space and business activity with Selway Carpet Cleaning.
In 1953 the Company was purchased by an earlier generation of the current family, who operated it from a location on West Tuscarawas Street in Perry Heights. Over the next 13 years the company grew to become the largest family-owned pest control company in Stark County.
In 1966 the next generation took over the reins of the company and has operated it since. The company is currently flourishing under the guidance of the current owners — Julianne and Robert Geltz, and now serves 10 counties, with Julianne’s son, Michael, performing inspections and Operations Manager functions.
