Scope Of Work

The new Amelia Elementary School consists of approximately 93,500 square feet, accommodating specific program needs. The BISD school design is based on the 750-Student Prototypical School Design Standards. The building is steel framed with a masonry exterior wall, finished interior CMU blocked corridor walls, drywall partitions, terrazzo floors on the primary and secondary corridors, and VCT in the classrooms. The new design includes improved education and administrative space, a gymnasium with stage area for multi-use, pod system classrooms with state of the art IT including speech, art, music, science, and computer lab's with new furnishings. The site development for the new Amelia Elementary School includes a secure playground area, 168 parking spaces and a paved sidewalk. The vehicular bus drop-off is designed to allow adequate traffic ingress/egress control.
