Scope Of Work
All students should have a safe place to go when stormy weather threatens. With numerous school and safe room projects under our belt, the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma school district didn’t hesitate to hire Crossland to build a new storm shelter. The saferoom at Ernest Childers Middle School houses the science classroom and choir room and ensures the school has a state-of-the-art safety location in place for their students.
In addition to building the new shelter, our team performed a complete renovation of the cafeteria. Cosmetic improvements included a front entrance remodel, plus overall updates to classrooms and school administration offices.
The storm shelter was an entirely precast building — premade and assembled on-site – ensuring it was solidly constructed and cost-effective for the owner. Given the district’s tight schedule, building the shelter offsite helped our team complete the project on time and within budget.
