The JD Bravo Company has been retained by Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church to provide the Owner’s Representation and a wide range of related advisory services related to the restoration of the exterior envelope of this historic Church, Rectory, and Parish House.

Key components of the Project include repair of the wooden roof structure, replacement of slate roofing and copper flashing, restoration and selective replacement of deteriorated sandstone walls and mortar joints, and restoration of stained and leaded glass in the North and South Clerestories.

The historic and architectural significance of Saint Mark’s, designed by noted Architect John Notman, were key factors in the decision of the National Park Service to provide a grant to partially fund the work of this Project under its “Saving America’s Treasures” Program. The Staff of the JD Bravo Company working in conjunction with Project Architect John Milner, Architects have been charged with the responsibilities to document and administer the Project in accordance with National Park Service guidelines.

Work of the Project commenced in June of 2014 and continued through to the completion of this phase of the work in early 2015. This phase of the project was approximately $2 million.
