Scope Of Work
Total interior demolition of the former Knox County Hospital and the creation of a new floor plan for the College of Nursing Facility. Consisted of all new non-load bearing interior walls, corrections to existing load bearing walls, new roof assembly, new MEP throughout building, as well as new flooring. The facility included chemistry and biology labs, nursing labs, as well as physiology and nursing simulation labs. Existing electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems encountered were removed and replaced due to inferior original design and installation. Structural deterioration of the building resulted in shoring and replacement of structural columns and masonry walls.
