Scope Of Work
GARRISON | NAMVAR | Government was proud to serve United Excel and the Corps of Engineers in the renovation and expansion of their 5,000 sf government manufacturing building into a modernized 10,000 sf optical eye wear production facility. GARRISON | NAMVAR was able to develop a plan to avoid disruption to ongoing operations. GARRISON | NAMVAR provided a Two Phase construction approach utilizing self-contained trailers for latrines, break room, lunch room and storage.
The Laboratory is housed within an existing block and steel frame warehouse constructed in 1943, and later re-purposed to serve a variety of government agencies. The scope of work required replacement and upgrading for all building systems including MEP, Fire Sprinklers, Fire Alarm, Mass Notification, Communications, Security and Utilities. The Architectural build incorporated production facility materials and finish such as high build epoxy floor coatings and phenolic surfaces.
To avoid disruption to ongoing operations, GARRISON | NAMVAR provided a Two Phase construction approach utilizing self-contained trailers for latrines, break room, lunch room and storage. The planned changeover from Phase I to Phase II was completed on schedule and all systems were back online without delay. The overall construction duration was seven months.
