Brad Fishman's Bio
Brad Fishman supervises all Caldwell Companies legal functions and transaction-related legal requirements. As General Counsel, Brad handles the company's acquisition and disposition of unimproved and income properties, commercial leases, project debt and equity financing, brokerage and management contracts, commercial and residential development agreements, and helps structure the company's various investment partnerships.
As CAO, Brad also oversees Caldwell Companies' day-to-day administrative and operational matters. He supervises the company's Human Resources and Finance departments and provides guidance for corporate and strategic initiatives.
Brad's law practice has concentrated primarily in the areas of real estate transactions, development, and finance. Before joining Caldwell Companies, he worked with American Tower Corporation, focusing on commercial acquisition and leasing.
A graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Brad received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 1988. Brad is an active member of the Real Estate Probate Trust Section of the Texas State Bar, the Real Estate Section of the Houston Bar Association, and the American Corporate Counsel Association.
While away from work, Brad enjoys cycling, camping, and traveling. He lives in Spring Branch with his wife Diane, daughter Emily, and son Nathan.
Clint Cooper's Bio
Clint leads the Caldwell Companies Bryan/College Station office. He is responsible for overseeing the service and development business in College Station as well as the sourcing and evaluation of new acquisition, development, and investment opportunities throughout the company’s trade area. In addition, he assists with raising debt and equity capital for new projects.
Clint has worked on many of Caldwell’s premier projects, including Research Park II and III at Texas A&M University, Lone Star College Fairbanks Center, Rock Creek, Spring Creek Ranch, Towne Lake, Remington Square, Round Up Business Park, Spring Cypress Village, Thomas Park Lofts and Mission Ranch.
Clint graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Master of Land Economics and Real Estate degree.
Clint is active in the community, having served as a Past President of the Aggie Real Estate Network and is currently serving on the board of the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley.
He and his wife, Brandi have 2 daughters, Cate and Claire.
Fred Caldwell's Bio
Fred began his career with The Originals Group in 1983 and joined Southern Realty Corporation in 1985, becoming President in 1988. Fred was the founding partner of Caldwell Nyberg Interests in 1990, which was later renamed as Caldwell Companies. Today, the firm serves as a holding company for a family of related companies that invest in, develop, broker and manage residential and commercial real estate interests and participates in private equity investments.
The subsidiary companies, along with related partnerships, own, develop, manage and market the following: office, industrial, retail and land properties, residential communities and business parks. Caldwell Community Development master planned communities include Towne Lake, Rock Creek, Willowcreek Ranch, Great Oaks and Spring Creek Ranch. Caldwell Commercial Development projects have included Remington Square, Round Up Business Park, Greens Crossing Business Park, and buildings in the Research Park at TAMU in College Station. Through its service related entities, Caldwell Brokerage Company and Caldwell Management Company, the firm brokers and manages third party and related party office, industrial, land, retail and medical properties.
Fred serves on the Board of Directors and was past Chairman of the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation, is a former member of the 12th Man Foundation Executive Board, is a Lowry Mays College & Graduate School of Business Development Board Member, is on the Board of Directors and was past Chairman for the Lonestar College System District Foundation, and is an Elder with Terra Verde Community Church.
Fred is a graduate of Texas A&M University and holds both a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Fred was a three year letterman onthe Texas A&M football team.
Fred and his wife, Susan, have been married for over 30 years and have two children: Amanda and Lindsey. The Caldwell's reside in Northwest Houston.
Jim Black's Bio
With over 25 years in commercial development and asset management, Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the strategic and operational management of the Commercial division of Caldwell Companies, as well as marketing teams.
Jim ensures Caldwell Companies executes ‘best in class’ commercial management and marketing services for our clients. Prior to joining Caldwell, Jim spent 15 years in Dallas honing his skills in commercial and asset management as well as marketing industrial, office and retail projects.
Since coming to Houston a decade ago, Jim’s local projects include Bondesen Business Park, Northwest Point Industrial Park, Bayport North Industrial Park, Cedar Crossing D.C., Pinemont D.C., Blalock Business Center and Beltway 8 Office Center.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Missouri. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration, Real Estate Finance from Southern Methodist University.
Keith Grothaus's Bio
Keith Grothaus contributes more than 25 years of successful real estate experience to Caldwell Companies’. Keith is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies for real estate land investment portfolios and individual properties. In addition to owner representation, Keith works as a buyer’s representative to locate and assist with the acquisition of property for new residential and commercial developments and/or investments. Keith has handled more than $300,000,000 in real estate transactions over the last six years.
Keith is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and an active member and past president of the CCIM Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter. He is also a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), and Past President of Local SIOR Chapter 2009-2010, the Houston Association of Realtors (National, Texas, and Houston), Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, Board Member of the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), The Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Commercial Service and Investment Divisions of the Houston Association of Realtors. He is an active member of St. Justin Martyr, where he is the Music Director and the past Chairman of the Building Committee.
Prior to joining Caldwell Companies in 1994, he was Vice President of Commercial Brokerage for TIPS in Texas Real Estate, Inc. Keith’s extended experience and training make him highly valuable in meeting clients’ real estate and marketing needs. Through his extraordinary efforts in 1998, Keith received the Caldwell Companies’ Top Lister Award as well as the Top Team Transaction Award. Keith was also recognized as Top Producer for Caldwell in 2006.
Keith was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. He and his wife, Mary Lou, live in West Houston with their two daughters, Brittany and Katie. Keith is an avid cyclist and rides in the MS150 each year, a ride that foregoes raising money to end the devastating effects of Multiple Sclerosis. Keith has raised more than $100,000.00 over the last nine years. In his free time, Keith enjoys fishing, golf and playing the guitar.
Peter Barnhart's Bio
As Development Partner, in Caldwell Companies Land Development, Peter Barnhart brings to our firm a very successful history of acquiring, developing and selling large land development projects. Peter’s financial, construction and marketing skills combined with a unique blend of experience in commercial and community development, allows Caldwell Companies to plan and create environments where people like to live, work and play.
With Caldwell Companies, Barnhart plays an integral role in identifying, acquiring and developing land properties for future planned community development projects. Peter is also the key team member to handle the negotiations related to the acquisition of each property.
Peter’s 20 years of real estate experience includes six years with RealtiCorp Commercial Investment Fund in Greenville, SC. Beginning as Director of Sales and Marketing and moving up to Regional Partner, he handled complex land development transactions in seven different cities and involving more than 4000 acres of land. Peter also has experience with Byzance, Inc. and Plantation Homes.
Raised in Houston, Peter earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Science and his master’s degree in Land and Real Estate Development - both from Texas A&M University. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Real Estate Development Association Professional Advisory Board and Texas A&M University’s Century Club.

Ron Roberson's Bio
As Executive Vice President, Ron Roberson brings over 28 years of experience in sales, business development and management to Caldwell Companies. Since joining the team in 1994, Roberson has contributed measurably to the growth and success of the firm. Ron’s specializations include industrial and office user representation, specifically acquisition, disposition, new lease negotiations and lease renewals.
Ron has also represented clients on investment property acquisition and dispositions, including financial analysis, coordination of due diligence and construction management. During his tenure at Caldwell Companies, Ron has been responsible for commercial development and construction management of ground up and interiors for industrial and office projects.
Ron received his bachelor’s degree with a double major in Business and Geology from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1983, where he lettered in football. He received his MBA from Texas A&M University in May 2013.
Ronnie Haleq's Bio
Ronnie Hale joined Caldwell’s executive team with almost 30 years of business experience and a strong background in corporate finance. As Director of Capital Markets and Chief Financial Officer, Ronnie works closely with other members of Caldwell Companies’ executive team to structure property level equity and debt financing transactions; source equity and debt; coordinate investor relations, improve and enhance cash management strategies, oversee property and note acquisition and implement business development initiatives. Hale plays a key role in growth of our investment and development strategies.
Hale came to Caldwell Companies from NetVersant Solutions, LLC where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. At NetVersant, Hale was part of the leadership team that acquired 19 operating companies to form NetVersant in 2000. Prior to that, Hale was with Consolidated Graphic, Inc., a publicly traded commercial printing company headquartered in Houston, but with operations across the United States. He served as the company’s Vice President – Treasurer and led its investor relations program and managed its commercial banking relationships.
Ronnie is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting. Upon graduation, he joined KPMG LLP, the international professional services and accounting firm providing audit and advisory services for public and private clients in the oil and gas exploration and production, transportation and pipeline, and oil field services industries.
Hale has been married to his wife Debbie for over 20 years, and they have three children – Reese, Molly, and Abbey. The Hales are members of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Hale is a CPA and has served on the board of various community organizations, including the Stella Link Redevelopment Association, Braeswood Place Homeowners Association and the Texas A&M Mays College of Business Accounting Advisory Council. He enjoys playing golf and attending children's athletic activities.
Estimating, Purchasing & Preconstruction
Jason Flagg's Bio
Jason Flagg has joined Caldwell and will serve as a Project Estimator for our Residential and Commercial Development teams and will also provide insight for our Commercial Property division. He brings 17 years of experience to Caldwell and is well trained in all phases of the construction process, including field supervision, construction management, estimating and project management. His experience encompasses everything from small remodels to complete building construction and he also has comprehensive knowledge of interior build-outs. Jason is skilled at various delivery methods, including design-build and CM at Risk, which will be used to ensure delivering successful outcomes for Caldwell projects.
Jason earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology at Louisiana Tech University.
When Jason isn’t running projects for Caldwell, you’ll find him running toward the great outdoors, where he likes to spend his free time engaged in activities like hanging out at the lake, fishing and relaxing with nature.
Operations
Cindy Carter's Bio
Cindy provides outstanding support to our residential development team in her role as Project Coordinator. Her responsibilities include processing and reviewing contracts for our Residential Team, issuing change orders and reviewing payment processes, accounting for cost accounting and subcontractors. Cindy has worked for several large General Contractors as an Assistant Project Manager and was involved in many major projects such 5 Houston Center, 35 Walmart Supercenters and multiple large educational projects. She volunteers with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (General Go Texan Committee) as a trained professional clown in order to entertain special needs children and provide entertainment events with the Rodeo. She has also completed extensive Project Management Course work with Association of General Contractors and various continuous courses in Project Management and Construction. Cindy enjoys activities with her grandson and daughter, especially road trips, cruises and cheering her grandson on at baseball, football and FFA events. Her hobbies include cake decorating, quilting and volunteer work.
Drew Stewart's Bio
Drew Stewart is a Project Manager in Caldwell’s College Station office. He is responsible for the sequencing, scheduling and coordination of various vendors to execute and complete development projects. He also manages the construction process from start to finish for various projects. Drew previously worked as a Project Engineer for Cadence McShane Construction in their Austin and Dallas offices.
Drew is a Texas A&M graduate and earned his Bachelor of Science in Construction Science and also holds a Master of Real Estate.
In his free time, you can find Drew on the racquetball court, playing ultimate frisbee, hitting golf balls, hiking or mastering Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Jake Carr's Bio
Jake joins our Development Team after having spent a few months working for Caldwell on a contract basis. He serves as a Project Manager for our residential communities, focusing on Towne Lake, Willowcreek Ranch and Del Webb Sweetgrass. Jake will assist with planning, design and construction projects and has a passion to provide his leadership to help get decisions made and a vision established. ?
Jake gained hands on experience as a private contractor working on various residential projects while at Talley Construction. He’s also helped lead three construction teams to Peru to construct and maintain the El Arca orphanage. He serves on the missions committee at Terra Verde Church.
Jake enjoys high adventure activities like backpacking, white water rafting and has a heart for mission work and Discipleship.
Jarrod Payne's Bio
The collaborative interaction involved in lot delivery requires teamwork and urgency - Jarrod enjoys managing these responsibilities in the field and in the office. His passion for the planning involved in design & construction meetings provides leadership needed to get decisions made and a vision established. While on site, his project management style is to provide an interactive experience where numerous problems are met by creative solutions from the team. For Jarrod, all of the moving parts of a project, combined with the daily challenges, provide fulfillment toward reaching the end goal of a successful development.
Jarrod began his career in the real estate and construction industry in 2012 with Caldwell Companies. Before settling into this position, he spent two summers in outdoor guide programs in Alaska and California. Other work experience includes one year of biochemistry research, and one year as an equipment operator for an oil and gas well service company.
Jarrod is a graduate of The University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. As a UT Dallas student-athlete, Jarrod served as Captain of the UTD NCAA Men’s Soccer Team during his four years of competition.
Jarrod’s passion lies in relationships, ministry, and living for a greater purpose.
Jerry Hlozek, P.E.'s Bio
Jerry Hlozek, P.E., recently joined our Houston corporate office and will serve as a Project Manager for our Land Development team. He will be responsible for the residential and amenities development out at Towne Lake. His experience in residential and commercial development projects will be a huge asset as Towne Lake continues to grow.
During his 15 years in the residential and commercial real estate industry, Jerry has worked for such companies as D.R Horton, LJA Engineering, Van De Wiele & Vogler and Adams Consulting Engineers. He’s been a part of the development teams at communities like Ventana Lakes, Bridges on Lake Houston and Hampton Creek.
Jerry completed his BS in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2000. He’s earned the Licensed Professional Engineer designation for the state of Texas.
Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters as well as watching college and professional football and doing some salt water fishing.
Kathy Counce's Bio
For nearly 15 years, Kathy has been an important part of Caldwell’s growth and has worked on many of the company’s largest and most recognizable projects. She works closely with our Division Vice President on builder relations and contract oversight. She also assists with construction operations, coordination of design and logistical assets during the construction phase of projects, and works toward the end goal of project delivery.
Including her time with Caldwell, Kathy has over 18+ years in the industry, having also worked for an architect firm. Kathy earned her Associates degree from a college that is now known as Phillips Community College in DeWitt, Arkansas.
Kathy is active in Faith United Methodist Church and she also rings handbells with Faithfully United Handbell Choir. She’s been married for 38 years, has two grown sons and five grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, reading and gardening.

Alyssa Meeks's Bio
Alyssa Meeks oversees the day to day marketing needs for our Willowcreek Ranch development and two exciting residential developments that are currently under construction. She is also the event planner for these beautiful communities!
Alyssa received her BBA in Marketing and minored in Mass Communications from Texas Tech University. While attending Tech, she was a member of Alpha Phi holding the position of Vice President of Marketing. She was also involved in the Rawls College of Business.
Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys giving back to the community. She sponsors a boy named Philimore to attend school in Zambia. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys the outdoors, hiking and has traveled to 6 of the 7 continents.
Flint Risien's Bio
Flint Risien works out of our corporate office in Houston and serves as the Business Development Manager for our Property Management division. He’s become the “public face” of our Property Management team and is responsible for client relations with existing customers and also networking to promote our services and build our portfolio of PM assignments.
Flint earned his BS in Education and his Master’s in Education from Texas A&M after graduating from Cy-Fair High School. At A&M, Flint was a 3 year letterman in football and played alongside Fred Caldwell. He recently retired from a 30 year career in education, having spent 18 years as an Athletic Administrator/Head Football Coach in Texas public schools as well as 3 years as a college football coach.
He is a member of various national & state coaching associations, served on BOD North Texas Football Coaches Association, Greater Houston Football Coaches Association, is a member of the Texas Association of Professional Educators, Texas A&M Letterman’s Association, Texas A&M 12th Man Association, and is a member St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Katy TX, where he serves on the vestry as Sr. Warden.
Flint and his wife were high school sweethearts who’ve been married for over 30 years. They have a son, daughter and one granddaughter. Flint enjoys hunting, reading, NASCAR, time on the beach, and performing Community Service.
Jennifer Symons's Bio
Jennifer Symons is responsible for the coordination and oversight of Caldwell’s residential communities and new commercial developments. Her role is to actively market and promote all of Caldwell's communities through a wide variety of marketing initiatives, including print media, digital marketing, websites, marketing collateral, social media, and community outreach opportunities. She is also responsible for the corporate branding of the company’s residential development division, Caldwell Communities.
Jennifer has over 10 years of experience marketing both commercial and residential real estate. Prior to joining Caldwell Companies, Jennifer was VP of Marketing for a public commercial real estate company, overseeing the marketing initiatives of a diverse portfolio of office, industrial, retail, self-storage, multi-family, and student-housing properties nationwide. Jennifer was also the Marketing Manager for a residential real estate firm specializing in the sales and marketing of condominium conversion projects throughout Texas.
Jennifer received a B.B.A in Marketing from Texas Tech University and holds a Texas Real Estate Salespersons License. She and her husband BJ are members of Second Baptist Church and enjoy spending time with their three children, Brylee and Slade and Jett.
Marci Raley's Bio
Marci began her career with Caldwell Companies in 2018 while attending Texas A&M University. She interned for the marketing departement and thoroughly enjoyed learning about the many Master Planned Communities and developments that Caldwell has to offer. Upon receiving her Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Leadership and Development, Marci accepted a full-time position in College Station working on our newest MPC, Mission Ranch. In this role, Marci will greet and direct visitors who are interested in making Mission Ranch their new home. She will assist with managing the inventory of Mission Ranch and is in charge of reporting and market research.
In her spare time, Marci loves trying new restaurants and catching up with friends. She is involved in Grace Bible Church, where she attend Bible Study. Marci is eagerly awaiting the Grand Opening of Mission Ranch. She states, "It is really neat seeing all of the hard work being put into this project by so many people. I am ready for others to enjoy this community as much as we do."
Susan Caldwell's Bio
Susan oversees the overall branding standards of Caldwell Companies and ensures the corporate motto of “Doing it right. Right now.” is experienced internally and externally to those we serve.
She began her career in marketing in the banking industry before taking time off to raise two daughters. During those years, she became very involved in the caring for her family and volunteering in the community. She has held board positions in local faith based organizations and especially enjoyed her time as a discussion leader for Bible Study Fellowship.
Susan received her B.B.A. in Marketing from Texas A&M and now serves as “Keeper of the Culture” at Caldwell Companies. She currently serves in ministry alongside her husband, Fred at the company, at Outback America and at their home church, The Church at Cross Lake. She also now serves on the board of Liberty Path and the advisory board of KSBJ radio.
Susan and Fred have been married over thirty years and reside in Northwest Houston. They have two daughters, Amanda Grace and Lindsey.
Finance & Accounting
Evin Hirschi's Bio
Evin is now a member of the Caldwell investment and development team. She will participate in building financial models and conducting market research for Caldwell’s residential communities and commercial projects as well as preparing both equity and debt packages.
Evin graduated from Texas A&M University, earning both her Master of Real Estate and Land Economics in 2016 and her Bachelors in 2013. She started with Caldwell in 2013 in marketing and transitioned to a property management and leasing full-time while completing her Masters in College Station.
Outside of Caldwell, Evin enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

Sandy Kelly's Bio
Sandy Kelly is the Controller for Caldwell Companies, responsible for financial reporting and managing the day-to-day activities of the accounting department.
With 20 years of experience as a Controller for Caldwell Companies and previously for McCord Development, Inc., Sandy has gained in-depth knowledge of what it takes to handle the financial needs of a real estate company as well as manage operations in a fast-paced environment. She has her Bachelor's degree in finance from Texas A&M University. She is also involved with Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA).
In her spare time Sandy enjoys reading, golfing, and family outings. She currently lives in Pearland with her husband John and her two girls Meghan and Jordan.
