Scope Of Work

Project Overview

The three-story, 76,467 SF research facility includes labs, prototyping areas, integration spaces, innovation collaboration locations for testing and evaluations, range control and operations centers, and accelerator spaces for the U.S. Army Futures Command. The Research Integration Center (RIC) collects data from autonomous aerial, ground, and subterranean vehicles testing, hypersonics and directed energy research, and manages and transfers intellectual property and technology for commercial applications. The RIC assists in testing the newest and most innovative ideas to support the Department of Defense.

Unique Challenge

We utilized the Drone Deploy program to navigate pre-determined routes and communicate our site progress to the university weekly. Drone technology allowed us to avoid having multiple inspectors on the sloped roof. We maneuvered the drone for the inspector to visually inspect each weld through a livestream without exposing the inspection team to any hazards.
