Scope Of Work
Gilbane completed the $26.8M renovation of Zama High School. Zama High School is a 420-student Department of Defense Education Activity School (DoDEA) located on Camp Zama Army Base in Zama, Japan, approximately 40 miles from Tokyo on the main island of Honshu. Gilbane renovated the existing high school building 906 and existing middle school buildings 912 and 913 and improve site conditions to meet ABA, parking requirements, and AT/FP standards. The school will incorporate advanced communication systems to support technology program requirements, as well as general communications.
This renovation project at Zama High school campus includes the Auditorium (Building 912), the Middle School (Building 913), and the Mechanical room (Building 914). It also involves the construction of a new fire pump house (Building 913-2), campus-wide exterior improvements to two parking areas and landscape improvements. Renovations include hazardous material abatement, demolition, and complete interior replacement (architectural, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems), together with the addition of a new fire suppression & fire alarm system.
