Scope Of Work
The Challenge
The DAS constructed at PCC Cascades was a fiber ERRCS DAS system that was designed and built by multiple subcontractors and did not meet NFPA, IFC, or local Oregon 510 fire code requirements. The challenge was to assist the electrical contractor in finishing the previously designed ERRCS by providing comprehensive consulting, commissioning and NFPA, IFC and OR 510 code compliant testing services.
The Solution
WAC evaluated and recommended additional components that were missing from original design. Based on these recommendations, the necessary parts were obtained and installed under WAC’s direction and supervision which brought the system into compliance with all local, national, and international fire codes.
WAC’s Role
Wireless Applications Consulting provided skillful solutions to bring the ERRCS up to par with the requirements of NFPA, IFC, and the City of Portland based on competent knowledge of code requirements. Wireless Applications consulting played an integral role in testing, commissioning, and final acceptance of the system by the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and the local 911 radio system engineer.
