Scope Of Work
District Contracting Group was awarded a $1.4M sole source award via a Design/Build delivery vehicle to extend line of sight and provide physical security that spans an additional 3.8 acres at the Raven Rock Mountain complex, considered the Underground Pentagon. This scope included new fencing, bollards, and site lighting, all conforming with UFC and Anti-Terrorism protection requirements.
This project was identified as vital to the interests of national security. The project required District Contracting Group to interpret the customer’s requirements and create a design that conforms to existing stringent security protocols and strict adherence and best practices associated with the National Environmental Policy Act, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and the Maryland Department of Environmental Protection regarding wetlands and erosion and sediment pollution control.
