District Contacting Group was selected over much larger and longer tenured general contractors to manage the buildout the Washington Headquarters of this Fortune 500 Federal IT firm. The goal was to create a ‘front of house’ space that was modern and sleek. The ‘back of house’ space housed the 100+ person workforce which required precise positioning of more than 50 below floor data port conduits. District Contracting was included in the preconstruction process, creating multiple scenario budgets and confirming lead times for specialty items such as Joel Berman Art Glass, Lightolier pendants and recessed linear lighting, and porcelain inlaid flooring. This inclusiveness allowed District Contracting the ability to provide input on finish selections that met the stringent schedule required by this technology driven firm. The move date was set prior to commencement of construction; therefore, no delays in deliverables was acceptable. District Contracting was also tasked with selection of and installation of voice data cabling, IT Room equipment, and state of the art Audio Visual equipment installation. This was mission critical for this firm that provides top security level cyber security for multiple federal government agencies including The White House and The Pentagon. District Contracting delivered this project under budget and 1 week ahead of schedule.
