Scope Of Work
J. Vinton Schafer and Sons provided construction management services for a 32,950 square foot main building and a 3,528 square foot sculpture building. The museum incorporated the historic “Baltimore Trolley Works Building” and is composed of exterior walls which are curved poured-in-place concrete. Each wall of the museum has a different radius and begins from a different center point. The museum also features a cantilevered semi-circular gallery with the restaurant’s outdoor terrace on top. The building entry is a curved ramp of glass, concrete and imported limestone.
