Scope Of Work
Island Palm Communities (IPC), the partnership between Lendlease and the US Army, is the largest residential privatization project awarded by the Army. The partnership developed, designed, and constructed 4,725 new homes and seven community centers and renovated 2,516 existing homes during its initial development scope. With more than 7,800 homes on seven Army installations, IPC will continue to provide property and maintenance management for the US Army Garrison, Hawaii, through 2054. Its homes are located on seven Army installations on Oahu: Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Air Field, Helemano Military Reservation, Fort Shafter, Tripler Army Medical Center, Aliamanu Military Reservation, and Red Hill.
IPC is a successful model for sustainable development. Innovative programs, methods, and technologies have been implemented from urban planning, home design, demolition, and construction phases through ongoing property management and resident education programs. Upon completion, it will be one of the largest solar-powered communities in the world.
