Scope Of Work
With the explosive development in The Woodlands, the community’s need for health care is greater than ever, which is why Houston Methodist Hospital System constructed its new Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital Complex. Phase 1 of the campus development consisted of the Hospital, Medical Office Building 1 and associated surface parking. Methodist quickly realized that they were to need to move forward with Phase 2 of the campus development earlier than expected. To accommodate the increased parking needs, the Owner decided to add a parking garage in the center of the campus.
The new, seven-level parking garage has the capacity for 800 vehicles. It features state-of-the-art technology including wireless access and charging stations for electric cars. Situated in between two medical office buildings also built by Vaughn, the parking facility connects to both buildings on the third floor via sky bridges, providing easier access for staff and patients to maneuver around the hospital campus.
