Our Story
Engler, Meier & Justus Inc. started operations in 1962 as a subcontractor in the interior construction trade specializing in commercial ceilings and walls. During the late 1970’s the new company changed its focus to distribution of these and related products and gradually added more locations. Today EMJ sells a wide range of commercial acoustical ceiling & wall systems, drywall, metal framing, insulation, coatings & claddings to subcontractors and end users from its warehouses in the greater Chicagoland area, Georgia, and North Carolina.
EMJ’s own experience as a subcontractor has helped foster a unique understanding throughout the company of the demands put upon subcontractors int he overall construction process. As a result, outstanding customer service and excellent delivery turnaround are the primary focus fo the company’s approach to business.
