B&D was hired to perform as the general contractor for the Salvador Perez Recreational Center structural and building envelope rehabilitation project. The natatorium involved an entire roof deck and structure renovation. We reinforced a truss bearing, addressed CMU wall cracks, added angle iron, replaced wall through bolts, and filled in old windows with concrete block. Additionally, the interior was painted, replaced the vinyl composition tile floor with polished concrete, new window trim, and blinds. On the exterior of the building, we applied the exterior insulation finishing system and stucco, installed new coping and downspouts, new windows, and doors, new access ladders, beam replacement at the front entrance, and repaired the parapet and soldier block.
