Scope Of Work
The University of Arizona Biomedical Sciences Partnership Building is becoming part of the growing healthcare community in Arizona’s state capital. It’s the latest addition to Phoenix Biomedical Campus, a city initiative bringing bioresearch and education to downtown.
Collaborative work in neurosciences, healthcare outcomes, cancer and medicine performed in the building is expected to lead to groundbreaking discoveries with a direct impact on public health.
The 10-story facility includes a 200-person seminar room, loading dock, centralized water purification system, centralized liquid nitrogen and wet benches. It also includes distributed core spaces dedicated to flow cytometry, histology, microscopy, radioisotope and tissue culture, all supporting genomics and proteomics research. Upper floors will consist of dry laboratories supporting computational biology and biomechanical engineering. Central structural, plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems have been sized and designed for maximum flexibility, accommodating a broad range of research possibilities, and allowing easy conversion of existing research space, keeping pace with scientific discovery.
BSPB is our fourth project on the campus, including the neighboring Health Sciences Education Building, which houses health education for the UA and Northern Arizona University.
