Scope Of Work
Banner University Medical Center is making a significant investment to improve the facilities on the Tucson campus, and has selected the joint-venture team of Sundt/DPR to construct a $275 million improvement project. The nine-story, 670,000-square-foot facility replaces one that has been used for more than 40 years.
When the tower opens in 2019, it will include:
A new hospital main entry, cafeteria and campus support departments
Diagnostic imaging, diagnostic cardiology, cardiac cath labs as well as interventional radiology
Operating rooms and patient prep/recovery space
204 patient rooms
The ability for Banner to add 24 patient rooms
The project includes more than $50 million in new patient care equipment and computers to further improve the patient experience
Banner University Medical Center Tucson plays an important role in the health of Southern Arizona residents and visitors; it’s the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region.
