Scope Of Work
Wheatley Middle School first opened in time for the 1932-33 school year and, by the turn of the century, was in need of major renovations. Satterfield & Pontikes handled both the renovation and expansion of the existing campus, which required asbestos abatement and demolition of structures, including buildings on site before the original construction of the middle school. Creative design, engineering and construction work allowed for adjustments to the project as unforeseen issues were discovered. Substantial planning went into properly sequencing phases of renovation and new construction.
