Scope Of Work
Flower Mound High School needed additional space in order to ease overcrowding and assist entering freshmen with an easier transition to high school life. S&P constructed a self-contained, 110,000 SF ninth-grade campus on the grounds of the high school near the main building that accommodates the higher grade levels.
S&P also constructed new sports facilities, which included a multi-court tennis complex, baseball field, softball field and indoor practice facility.
Existing facilities at the high school received an addition to the performing arts area, replacement of the football stadium sound system, and renovations of school and field house lockers. Project work also included parking, covered walkways, utilities and demolition. The entire high school campus remained occupied and active during the project’s duration. S&P’s project-specific safety plan ensured that students were separated from work areas at all times and that construction activities posed no safety risk to ongoing school activities.
