Scope Of Work
This job was won by SD Crane Builders through a hard bid process by Yuma County. It required demolition of existing buildings to make way for the new 8,852 square foot satellite office in Wellton, Arizona.
This satellite sheriff’s office and courthouse was a single-story building constructed using steel framing for all wall systems, and steel bar joist-roof framing. The exterior was an EIFS system with cultured stone accents. The building contained a court room, judges’ chambers, general use offices, storage, and equipment rooms.
The sheriff’s office quarters incorporated a “hardened” reception area, evidence storage, and holding cells in addition to standard offices. The interior of the court room and judge’s chambers were beautifully accented in typical dark wood courthouse finishes. The entire facility was monitored with state-of the art access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems.
