Our Story

Whitson CM was formed in 2002 when it signed a construction management agreement to construct $65 million in roadway and heavy civil projects in San Diego, CA. Three of those projects under the construction management agreement were Caltrans’ permit projects along the Interstate 15 in Rancho Bernardo, CA. For each project under the construction management agreement, Whitson CM acted as the owner’s agent and the agent of the district and/or municipality. Whitson CM represented the interests of all of the project’s customers; the owner, Caltrans, the municipality, the contractor(s), the sub-consultants (geotechnical engineers, special inspectors, etc.) and the public. By utilizing Whitson CM’s vast experience in engineering contracting and environmental compliance alongside Whitson CM’s personnel work style for the project’s customers achieved the project’s goals ahead of the scheduled completion date and below budgeted costs. Thus demonstrating the cornerstone of  Whitson CM’s success is understanding all of the customers and providing to them the highest level of satisfaction.

Whitson CM is a Certified Small Business Enterprise (CA DGS#0037019). The company is centrally located in the North County of San Diego and serves all of Southern California and Arizona. Whitson CM’s staff is entirely composed of certified professionals in Stormwater Inspection, Erosion and Sediment Control, Qualified SWPPP Practitioners (QSP) and Qualified SWPPP Developers (QSD).
