R.L. Brown Construction, Inc.

Dave graduated from California State University Chico in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management. He started his career working for a general engineering contractor, building roads, bridges, and cross-country pipelines. He came to R.L. Brown Construction in 1999, and purchased the business in 2006. He is Principal-in-Charge, and responsible for all facets of company operations.

Eric wears many hats at RLCBI and in life. Not only does he double as an Estimator and Project Manager, but he’s also a die-hard LSU fan, dog lover, and all-around good guy. When he’s not convincing people in the office to watch LSU games, he’s playing guitar, remodeling his home, or checking out new breweries with his wife.

Jason brings over 13 years of construction experience, and Bachelors Degrees in both Architecture and Construction Management from California Polytechnic- San Luis Obispo to work at R.L. Brown Construction. He has extensive experience in tenant improvements and commercial office construction, taking projects from the conceptual phase through completion. Jason’s dedication to product quality and customer service make him a great addition to the RLB team.

Mike, RLBCI's Estimator and Project Manager, has been with the company since 2002. As a dedicated and easygoing coworker, father, and friend, Mike is the perfect guy to have in the room when solving problems. If he's not on the job site, he's mountain biking or traveling with his daughter across the country to pursue her career in soccer.

With over 29 years of construction experience, Pat began his career as a construction laborer, working his way through college as a journeyman carpenter, then moving into management and estimating. Following a successful career in the heavy-civil sector, working for companies including Morrison-Knudsen and CH2MHill, he came to R. L. Brown Construction in 2003. Pat is currently responsible for R.L. Brown Construction’s Sacramento and Tahoe area projects, and was the Senior Project Manager on our flagship LTVOR project. Pat also oversees estimating duties throughout the Bay Area and greater Northern-California areas. His uncompromised work ethic and unyielding dedication to quality, customer service, and excellence has been a key contributing factor in R.L. Brown Construction’s continued success.

John holds over 39 years of experience in all phases of construction as a Senior Project Manager, Senior Estimator, Superintendent, as well as carpenter, and laborer. At R.L. Brown Construction, John is the Senior Estimator and Project Manager working closely with Project Managers and the Principal-in-Charge to accurately scope and budget construction projects in various market sectors. John’s extensive experience in managing both new construction and renovation projects allow him to implement his expertise into the estimating phase to assure that clients are receiving an accurate budget as well as brining awareness to possible unforeseen project requirements.

Pat is the kind of guy who immediately disarms people with this warm nature. His decades of experience in the industry come from all over: Montana, Redding, Utah, Southern California, and Northern California. You'll find Pat is most excited when he's working on technically challenging, logistical jobs. The more complicated the project, the more fun he has, and that extends to his free time when you can find him working on his property or car.

Tony has over 30 years of field construction experience as a carpenter, laborer, and superintendent. His years of hands on experience in the field, working specifically on multi-family homes, has assisted him in developing a fundamental understanding of the issues that plague wood framed structures. Tony also has extensive experience working on commercial retail projects, where meeting deadlines and working around operational businesses is paramount to a project’s success. Tony holds excellent leadership skills that allow him to successfully manage teams of tradesmen and subcontractors in the field with a focus on completing projects on time and within budget. Tony has started his transition into project management.

Janine does a little bit of everything at RLCBI. Some call her the Secretary of the Corporation, others call her the Controller, or the Office Manager. No matter the title, everyone knows they can rely on Janine. Originally from Indiana, Janine appreciates the simple things in life: going to the beach (Pacific Grove is her favorite), helping out with her children’s sports, and cooking.

Ignacio has always liked to work with his hands — ever since he was young. He loves the physical aspect of the work and hopes to inspire the younger generation to get into this trade. Even in his off time, Ignacio prefers dirt biking or wakeboarding to sitting on the couch. When it comes down to it, Ignacio is a hard worker in everything he does.

Jonathan, one of RLBCI’s superintendents, craves any peace and quiet he can get. Raising twin boys will do that to a man. More often than not, Jonathan finds some solitude while out fishing, a passion he discovered the first time he held a pole in the second grade. As a guy who loves to build things with his hands, construction has been the ultimate career.

Kim is a loving mother of three, an avid runner, and a volunteer at her children’s school. Her soft-spoken nature and attention to detail make her great at keeping RLBCI’s office in order. When she’s not at her desk, she’s with her family camping in Coloma or training for a marathon — she’s already done a number of them in the past year!
